May - Registration
Play day each month shall be set forth in our annual schedule.
Play will be in accordance with USGA and as established by the event coordinator.
All players must register using the website "Click to Sign-Up" before day of play.
Proper attire must be worn at all times. Brief shorts, halter top, midriff tops or micro-mini skirts are not permitted.
The tournament chair has the option of initiating several arrangements to promote mingling of members.
Every putt must be holed out except during team events. Chip-ins must be clearly marked/circled on scorecards.
A player may remain in the Association if her handicap index goes over 26.0 but her handicap is limited to a 32 in all tournaments and play days.
Play Day ties will be decided according to USGA Recommendations in Rules of Golf, ....best score for the last nine holes, then last six holes. If still tied, last three holes, and finally, the 18th hole. If still tied, winner will be determined by score of handicap holes beginning with number one.
Ties for "Overall" in the Anniversary Cup and the Championship shall be decided by sudden death playoff.
Players must report no less than 1/2 hour in advance of starting time.
In order to qualify for Championship & Anniversary Tournaments play, a player must participate in a minimum of three (3) play days with the Association during the season.
Any current member in good standing moving from the area will have the option to continue membership in the BLGA, and will be eligible to play in all tournaments and play days.
Regarding Cancellation of a play day and the number of persons required to constitute a play day;
No play day will be cancelled unless the scheduled course is closed by the administration.
A minimum of 16 players must play to constitute an official play day.
Use of hand-held GPS devices is allowed on official play days. GPS devices mounted on the golf carts of any golf course as part of their standard equipment will be allowed to be used by our members.
Mobile phone call should only be used in case of an emergency. Personal calls should not be made or received during a BLGA event.
All play will be with the "ball Down" unless the Tournament Chairs decide otherwise due to weather conditions, etc.
Only the 1st putt made will be eligible for the longest putt points.
Any member who makes a reservation for a golf and/or luncheon and does not cancel within 48 hours will be expected to reimburse the Treasurer. The member must send an email to beachesladies@gmail.com and receive confirmation the cancellation email has been received. The cancellation period may be extended based on the event.
All members Play Day scores will be posted to GHIN by the event coordinator where the Golf Genius system is used. In the event no Golf Genius is used all members will be responsible and expected to post play day scores within 24 hours. Scores will be verified by the Handicap coordinator.
Only scores from the Championship and Anniversary Cup will be posted as a "C" score by the tournament chair.
